I've owned and gigged this bass for 11 years. It has become somewhat of an old friend; but, I've commissioned a new build with Mike. So, it's time for this to find a new home.

Tobias Signature Pre-Gibson 5 | The Lowend Bass Shop
Tone: A lot of wood in the sound, as you might expect from Mike.
Construction: Walnut body core, Goncolo Alves top and back, 9 piece walnut/purple heart/wenge neck.
Weight: 9 lbs. 8 oz.
Scale: 34"
Bridge Spacing: 17 mm
Condition: Very clean, some surface scratches - none through the finish
Modifications: I struggled for a long time with the original TCT circuit; and ultimately replaced it with a Pope 4 band preamp. The original TCT was carefully and reversibly removed, will be shipped with the bass, and can be re-installed if needed. The Pope sounds much better with better voicing. The new build in progress at MTD will also have the Pope. I also purchased a new TCT module, when they became available prior to acquiring the Pope. That was never installed but will ship with the bass. So, buyer will have choices; but, I think should be pleased / blown away by what the Pope does.
