This is atypical. It's like something unique has happened in the last 3 months.

SSDI is a lot easier to source parts than some of the pedals I make. Some of my suppliers are giving me several month lead times.

Hm, I seem to recall it being out of stock for upwards of a year now. Mind shooting a link to where josh was saying that about the parts?

A week ago or so, he was reacting to a question about Messenger and RFE being in 'coming soon' status on his website for months.

The Caline Wine Cellar. I paid 40 bucks for it and its the best 40 bucks I spent in awhile

I bought it last year because I had two fly gigs and I hoped to get a similar overdrive like the one I get from my real Sansamp. I was reluctant to fly with my pedalboard or all my pedals inside my suitcase. As a drive pedal I found it useless...but as a clean preamp it's one of the best bargains I could find. I keep it at home and I use it from time to time as a main tone..if I put an overdrive pedal in front of it (The last I tried was a Boss ODB3) I get killer tones...

I agree that the overdrive is pretty useless. Ive gotten minor use out of it tho. The rest of the pedal is clean. I was pretty surprised

Hey guys. I'm looking for a preamp pedal to use for sound-shaping in weird rooms and as a mid boost for solos. What are the best options? I've been looking at the Empress ParaEq and the Tech21 Q-strip. I'd prefer one with two mid controls, but it's not a necessity. I'd love to hear what you guys think. Are preamp pedals important or should I prioritise elsewhere? I'm very new to the pedal world, so bear with me if I ask some dumb questions

If you're looking for something that has lo-mid and hi-mid controls, check out the darkglass vintage ultra. this preamp has a clean and distortion channel and has a significant mid-focus sound compared to the b7k ultra. especially since the vintage ultra has warm retro sound quality to it. the gk plex and sansamp para driver are also good choices for a preamp pedal that can give you mid focus sounds you're looking for.

I originally used a qstrip for this purpose and just recently swapped it out for a two notes torpedo cab m as it did more jobs by itself and saved me room on my pedal board. I can't recommend it enough.

I think that since the OP is looking for a solution that allows to adapt to diferent locations and then get a mid boost, the best is an Eq pedal that can be used with diferent settings, like the Source Audio EQ2 or the Boss EQ200.
