Presonus audiobox usb

Hello guys,

I kinda wanted to buy the presonus audiobox usb, but when I looked for the reviews, I found alot of negative ones. Now I'm kinda looking for other, similar devices around the same price class (which is 145€).
Problems with the presonus audiobox regard software malfunction, noise problems and sudden reboot etc.

What do you guys think about the presonus audiobox? A no or a go? And in case of a no, what would be a better alternative?

I have a Presonus Audiobox and it was stable and sounded good. It really seems like a tough box to beat, for the price. It doesn't have a ton of fancy features but it's perfect for a small setup.

Here's a video that may be worth checking out. It's a review for a couple of mics but the end features a song recorded with the two mics and an Audiobox. The sound quality is very impressive. It starts at about the 2:40 mark.

I've had no trouble with the drivers of stability, or any of the other problems that you mention. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones.

I'm sorry that I don't have more input to offer, but I can report success on my end. If I hadn't upgraded to the Scarlett 18i6, I'd still happily be using the Audiobox. I've got it sitting around because I can't bring myself to sell it. Hopefully I find a use for down the road.

Thank you very much for your quick answer, I have another question for you: what soundcard etc does your computer use? Maybe I'll have to change that one too :s

If you get an audio interface, you're actually getting a Sound card. In fact you're getting a couple of extra features. So you don't need to buy another soundcard to be able to work with the audiobox.
