Originally this bass was an all passive bass. I have since purchased and had a local luthier install a
Noll 4 band 9V preamp w/ 3 stacked knob configuration.
I still have and can include the original passive pots, wiring, and 3 custom wood knobs.
CONTROL LAYOUT:
-Volume/blend/push pull active passive
-Stacked bass cut and boost and treble cut and boost
-Stacked high mids cut and boost /low mids cut and boost.
Bass will ship in a hardshell case.

This bass is not only a work of art but an absolute beast! Bass plays amazing with low fast action, and sounds amazing tight full clarity and articulation! Excellent balance and comfort while playing with a strap.
Tons of bottom, punchy growly mids, and glassy clear highs!

The only issue to note is the wenge bridge saddles cracked and broke. I have wood glued them which worked as a temporary fix and still allows it to play and intonate normally. I called Ray and he explained the saddles on this bass were his old design where he made them completely hand. He now uses a CNC machine to make his bridges and saddles and has beefed them up to avoid the saddles from cracking.
He told me if I wanted to fix it, I could send him the bridge and and he would make a new bridge and saddles for it using the radius I send the bridge setup with. He quoted me a price of $75 + shipping to him and back.
Ray also said this build today would cost over $5000.
I tried to take as many photos as I could to document the current condition of the bridge saddles.
