Here is a beautiful Wyn 5 string bass. I bought this because I wanted something with wider spacing than I had been playing, and low and behold this baby is 17mm. I didn't ask before buying thinking all Wyn's were 19mm. I'm glad I had the chance to own this though, as it is amazing. Bass is in excellent condition save for a little bit of nail marks in the "slap spot".

    Here are the specs.

    1. One piece Eastern Rock Maple neck thru neck.

    2. AAAAA Birds eye Maple fret board with face and edge markers

    3. Five body layers - AAAAA Buckeye Burl top with matching head stock cover and Ebony center neck covering center stripe, Wenge tone layer, Padauk tone layer, African Mahogany core, Highly Figured Flamed Maple back.

    4. 34 scale with 8mm/ 17mm spacing.

    4. Two Nordstrand custom narrow spaced Fatstack pickups.

    5. Aguilar OBP-3 pre-amp with 6 knob active/ passive, single coil/ dual coil set up with full active and full passive controls.

    6. Black finish Ultra-lite Hipshot tuners, black high tensile strength Hipshot bridge with brass saddles, black finish Dunlop strap locks.

    7. 9 pounds. Will ship in Hard case or gig bag. Your choice.

Mainly looking to sell for $3000 OBO shipped.

    1. Will trade even for MTD 535/635 or Wyn 5/6 with wider spacing.
    2. Will trade with cash from you for Roscoe 5/6, Zon 519, Warrior 5/6, or EBMM SR5 30th.
    3. Will consider others that send at least $1,000 my way.

I certainly agree with baltodoc!! But they are also awesome playing basses, and all are made-to-order basses!!
I love my Wyn (35/18mm spacing). This 34/17mm is really tempting!!

Do you mean the spacing is 8 mm at nut?

Yes. 8mm @ nut and 17mm @ bridge. Bridge is adjustable, but not sure you can squeeze more than 17.5mm out of it.

So, you want to trade this beautiful Wyn for my really beautiful fretless Roscoe 5JB Koa top with the TI Flats or the Roscoe standard set?

I've added some additional trade options. Wyn basses are scarce on the used market; kinda surprised this is still here.

Would a 1995 MTD 535 Korina/Wenge, 19mm bridge spacing, 35 inch scale, 21 frets perk your interests in a trade?
