Private Conversation drop down menu

Minor quibble: When I hover over the 'Inbox' tab I get a handy drop down menu showing links to conversations. The problem is that the conversations shown are seemingly random and from several years ago making that feature unusable. It would be nice if the drop down menu was ordered by date and showed the most recent conversation at the top.

When I click conversation display options a pop up menu opens that says 'Show only conversations: ' and gives me a choice of 'show all' 'started by' or 'received by'. To the right of that is a 'Set Options' button. When I click that it brings me to my inbox and I don't see any sorting options there.

Edit: To be clear my inbox is sorted by date but the drop down menu is not.

Conversation display options opened. The 'Show Only Conversations' allows a search by user name. The 'Set Options' button brings me back to top of my inbox. Perhaps that button is set to the wrong destination?

Here's the drop down menu. You can see the messages are from several years ago. And no, I have nothing better to do today :D

Thanks, that solves that. My 2¢ is that they should be ordered by date. As a supporting member I get previews in my email. Sometimes I'll not open a message that doesn't need a reply that says something like "okay" and I won't open it. Ordering by date would keep the most recent/relevant messages in the drop down menu.
