Problem w/Peavey Mark IV head!

Ok I got my new Peavey BVX 1x15 and I wanted to try my head with that cab. So I go to hook it up and I turn it on, huuuummmmmmm, thats all I got not one bit of sound. Any ideas on whats wrong?

Did you try more than one input cable or bass?

Is the hum affected by the gain controls on the amp?

What happens if you plug your bass into the return jack or the power amp in jack?

What happens if you plug a patch cable from the send jack to the return jack or from the preamp out to power amp in?

Ok I just did all of that and I get nothing just the same ol' hum. Its fixable right?
