Actually, I didn’t dispute YOUR repair.
I did comment on your assertion that it’s a well known and common cause. In the interest of TRUTHFUL information sharing, and based on my experience with this part, your statement is simply not true.
I train technicians and write service manuals as part of my job. If you heard what cones out of many tech’s mouths and saw the quality of the work many do, you wouldn’t take anything they say at face value. There are exceptions, but that accounts for maybe 20% of techs these days IME.
