problems with Steven Slate drums and Reaper

I downloaded the free version of SSD 5 and I must have done something wrong. I get no sound output from it. If I load MT- PowerDrumkit vst onto the midi that SSD produces it plays fine, but I'm not getting any output from the SSD vst. I am guessing that I don't have the samples for SSD in the correct folder, but I can't figure it out.
Any thoughts...
