Hello there!

Have you ever prayed a Fender P ( Not a Warmoth or any other brand! ) but an American P with a Status Graphite Neck?

Do you have any recommendations for me on this project?

Fender American Performer Precision Bass - Alder- 6 lbs, 3 oz.

Pickups: Fender Yosemite Single Coil Precision & Jazz.

Volume 1. (Middle Pickup)
Volume 2. (Bridge Pickup)
Master Greasebucket Tone Circuit
(Fender Greasebucket circuitry rolls off the highs without adding bass.)

Color: Arctic White

I will be using Schaller chrome tuning machines for American Deluxe basses manufactured from 2004-2006. (Made in Germany) They include larger mounting guide posts, a larger "flat paddle" design, and screw-in bushings (included, along with washers):

I put a Status graphite neck on my stingray five. They're just wonderful. I might also recommend putting Hipshot Ultralite tuners on the neck.

Fender American Performer Precision Review by Steve Cook

Say what you want about Fender's designs, redesigns, reintroductions, etc. Simply put, the American Performer Precision really impressed. Granted, the bass isn't a trueP, but the tonal options would make it appeal to just about anyone. If I had to choose one thing that made this bass special, it would be the aforementioned tonal variations that are suitable for a lot of different music. This bass was built for everything under the sun, and for a U.S.-crafted instrument with this attention to detail and playability, you'd be hard-pressed to spend the same money elsewhere and get the same results.
