My playing style is naturally aggressive, so I've had to try and dial that back a little bit with the short scale. That's one of the main reasons I tried the ProSteels - I was looking for a higher tension/more stiff string to compensate, as the Dunlop Super Brights I normally play just felt sloppy. Besides the mids problem, the ProSteels do sound great and seem to work well with the short scale.
