Some (I'm not saying all, 'cause I'm not sure) SKB Racks no longer require nut retainer clips. The racks are now coming with the rails already threaded. I have confirmed this with SKB Customer Service.
What's a little confusing is that the packaging for the screws still read "Nut Retainer Clips & Screws" and still have directions on the the back of the tag of how to use the clips. Those instructions are now moot.
Like I write, I'm not sure just exactly which racks are coming pre-threaded, but I can say for sure the Roto Shallow 4U & 6U, as well as the regular Roto 4U, all are.
