If I could I would. But I can’t, so someone else may as well

Still lots of bass for the money. Saw another one just like it recently on here too, like last week, forget what thread. I think natural finish rather than this honeyburst, but I suspect the same grain pattern.

It's a nice bass, but believe me, at that price point (even when new) it's a veneer. I figure Yamaha owns a quarter of all the guitar wood(s) in the world, so this is no problem for them. But it is a stunning looker for that price, no two ways about it.

I had one years ago and a set of EMG's pups and electronics dropped in perfectly, which made it my go-to bass when we had to sponsor Jam Nite, and other bassists' with their dirty, sweaty paws, came up and played my bass.

"Photo Finish" means the top is not actually the flame maple, curly maple, etc. that you see. Rather a lithograph (photo, if you will) of a grain pattern is printed on very thin stock and laminated (decoupaged?) onto the body, then sealed and finished. Fender did this years ago.

It's spurious, mate.......not genuine.
