Mesa AZ.
I am now a member of the Zon family. This bass plays and sounds so amazing. I let go of my Modulus for this one. Here are some pics.

STUNNING! I LOVE IT! :D

Yeah, I'm not surprised you went for the Custom since you had a Modulus before... the Custom is a lot more "modern" sounding than the regular Sonus models... a bit more "EMG-like", which should suit you fantastically. I bet you find this bass a lot more natural sounding and "musical" as well as easier to play with the shorter scale.

quick question... how much does it weigh?

Very nice! One of the few brands of bass I would buy again if I had the bread. Especially in the HB pups config! nice bass!
Yeah, I love the SC sound, but some venues just make them unusable. It's one of the reasons I also have a Custom similar to his, and also one reason I had one of my regular Sonus' modified (by Zon) to use some of the new HB's they're using in their Classic series.

Don't wanna' derail here, so here's the thread on that one:

Very nice! Zons are very cool basses. If I wasn't so used to thicker necks and had good enough technique to handle the clear tone (:D), I'd probably still have my Sonus six.

Congrats and welcome to the Zon family. I've been playing them pretty much exclusively for the past few years, and I couldn't be happier. They're really just amazing instruments all around, and if you get the chance to order a new one, Joe is always great to work with.

You nailed it, that's precisely why I purchased it. I am not sure of the weight, I will weigh it today. This bass is definetly ligter than the Modulus.

I purchased the bass from Mcknight Guitar company, a new mom and pop shop that is prospering here in Az.

Zons are soooooo light that was a huge reason I miss mine. They are so ergonomic to play.

I also agree that when I had mine with SC's they didn't cut well on certain songs. There was one I borrowed for one day at the same time that I had the SC. It was a HB for a rock show and that sucker cut like a RAZOR in the mix.

I really want one but I just can't justify a bass purchase for me right now. I have bought and sold wayyyy too many.
