Putting a preamp in a Sire V5

Good to hear this combo works.
I really really like my Nordstrand J5 singles in both basses.
It would be hard to imagine them not working with any decent pre amp tbh.

Bit late to the party on this thread, but I put a john east preamp and a set of Nordstrands in my v5 and it sounds kilker with flats. Dead easy install, everything fits and no soldering.

I bought a V7 vintage a few years ago. I replaced the electronics(EMG w/BTS EQ) and the bridge( Gotoh Brass Quickrelease) and the Pickguard. If I were to do buy a Sire today I would buy the V5.
