I have a love hate relationship with the oxide.. goes both ways depending on how much scotch i have.
on low gains i love it... crap, let me put it back on the board!!!
I have a newer 3Leaf Doom and it effectively ended my lust for weird fuzzes. Stacking the Octabvre into it is ridiculous, and the Doom is MADE to feed into a Moog LPF. I have more than enough dirt between my ss/bs Mini and the Doom (and they also sound lovely stacked).
If I ever need a down-and-dirty big muff for Ben Folds Five tones, I have the W&C TFR on my second board, but I'm not missing it on my main board.

I know I previously suggested peeling paint and having The Great Destroyer etched, but I've changed my mind.
It's actually cool that there's this one big red dog on your board — like Matt Dean's white coily, it makes his board pop.
Of course "Clifford" the Big Red Pedal stands out, too.

I am so out of control with effects. I was attempting to record last night, had a bunch of weird noise issues, and everything sounded like garbage with new big <IKEA shelf> board. I freaked out and put together this little compact guy with NO daisy chains.
Leaves me with several pedals unused, and these little compact boards aren't too swap in / swap out friendly. Problem is, I immediately go into sell mode. "I could sell off all these extras and have gear cash again!" It's a severe sickness. drool

You could always go through your big board one pedal at a time till you find what's screwing the pooch.
I did one test and discovered that daisy chaining was screwing the pooch a bit. My Empress comp is never noisy, but it was last night.
Yeah, daisy chaining isn't a good idea if you don't like noise
I only have 1 or 2 pedals that produce noise when you daisy chain them. Some use a lot of power so I keep them on their own iso'd lines, but in my current stuff, only the EHX Pitch Fork has given me a problem on a daisy chain. The rest I daisy chain so I don't have to buy 2 or 3 power supplies. Forget that! I was happy using a 1-Spot till that darn Pitch Fork came along!
Agreed. Only certain pedals add noise to my signal when daisy chained. Not sure if there's anything to this, but it seems like buffered bypass pedals also exacerbate the problem. I have garbage power/wiring at my house. I'll occasionally get an obnoxious hum/buzz while playing, and stomping the buffered pedals seems to relieve whatever hum or ground issue pops up. Then again, I'm not super savvy in that realm, so someone with actual knowledge may be able to dispute that as the cause...
