do what I did, buy a bunch of pedals to figure out your favorites then flip and rebuy those favorites at least 3 times and end up with a comp, Envelope pedal, OD, and tuner on your board.
I can't count how many times I've owned/sold/re bought the same stuff. Ugh. I'm finally at a place where I like what I've got but my board has so much empty space that it drives me nuts. I don't know what to buy to fill it haha

How else are you supposed to know which pedals you don't need if you don't buy and flip them three or four times?
