Only a minor change since last post. Swapped out the Polaron for the Empress. I love what the Polaron could do but the volume drop/lack of a gain knob was untenable. Jury is still out on whether my phaser journey is over. I have yet to see what the Spaceman can do. Otherwise, I don't see much changing.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm primarily looking for a more pronounced vocal-like effect. The Empress gets in the ballpark but still a bit tame. Does the Spaceman get closer to that territory?
I made a video on the current setup on my board featuring a lot of new additions. I tend to use a lot of overdrive and distortion and mix it in with my clean signal, so check it out if you're into that sort of thing.
WARNING: I play with a pick exclusively and I'm aware that's completely unacceptable for some. I also I have a very monotone Scottish accent, so skip to 11:10 if you want to get to the sound examples:

How do you find the unicorn? I've seen reviews saying that it clips at the top of the sweep.View attachment 4836862

Of course I changed things 2 days after I had posted this picture...
I replaced the FX10 with GT2. Now the Pork Loin is set as a light drive / bass boost and GT2 for a heavier overdrive:

Please tell me about running both the BDDI and the GT2. Is the BDDI always on? Does the GT2 cut low end? Inquiring minds want to know.
Yes, BDDI is always on, but never with a blend above 10:30-11 o'clock (also with mid-heavy setting on the amp)!
GT2 doesn't cut low end as long as you set it right. It can cut them very easily...
Low end is safe on "clean" / "tweed" setting. With "center" and "off axis" positions on "MIC" slider there is actually too much low end, so I tend to keep it on "classic" position. However, these positions can compensate low end on heavier distorted "AMP" and "MOD" position combinations. But I like the light drive with "tweed" setting.
main I wish moogerfoogers came back
