Thanks guys... the Mobius is pretty slick. What I love about it is whenever I put a phaser, ring mod, flanger or chorus on my board I feel like I'm wasting space as they are pedals I only use rarely, so something like this is great because I can get all of those sounds when I need them and with presets and expression control over any parameter it's perfect.

Loving the Phaser, Flanger, Quadature and pattern Trem, which is like the goatkeeper. It has "pulse" waveshape that basically destroys my longing to put EQD Hummingbird back on the board. The vintage trem is the same as the Flint. The filter and chorus are good, but the Polytope and Xerograph have a LOT more range for depth (the mobius detuner will not go as far/weird as the polytope and the xero filter is more extreme/deep) - so the IE stuff is actually a good compliment to the Mobius, and allows me to double up on some of the modulation effects since the Mobius only does one modulation at a time. Autoswell works great. Vibe and Rotary are new to me, but I'm sure I can work them in somehow. So, overall thumbs up.

Exactly why I'm selling my Hardwire Reverb and Bass Boost Chorus. I just don't use modulation much at all, so they deserve better homes. I thought about an M5 for a while and the Mobius does sound pretty awesome, but I can't even really justify space for a small multi like that. I won't part with my Polytope or Seraph, but those are really all I have left (or will probably ever need) for modulation any more. *shrug*

I have a song that requires the Flint to be right after the timeline looper, so unless someone makes a tiny stereo flip-flop pedal (*to put the mobius behind the timeline), I'm stuck with the flint. And besides, a tiny stereo flip flop pedal with 6 cables running in/out would probably be the same size, so I might as well just keep the flint. :o - it kinds of neat to have a second reverb handy too.

And before someone says it, I can't do the pre/post thing with the Mobius because that only works with mono signal. Maybe I should get a 2nd Mobii?

Yeah, that's exactly how I've been trying to talk myself into buying one. I absolutely love phasers but I haven't played in a band/project that has really called for one in a couple years now. Loved the Goatkeeper (and the Hummingbird) but never used them enough to keep them around.

For now I'm resisting the urge, but the clips sound great and it's the first multi where I could see myself using pretty much every effect type. Strymon is on a roll.

that, and they NEED a software editor/librarian for backing up. skeers me poo'less trying to recreate the delays i rely on if something happened to my Timeline. compounding that with a Mobius might cause some weird, fatal form of rectal apoplexy.

Actually kind of is. The processor/DSP that's on one of these needs a significant majority of its capacity to do the one effect that its doing. In order to do two effects at once, you need roughly twice the processing power or a second processor in all likely hood. I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for them to update for this ability.

Just take it slow and easy and you'll learn to enjoy it.

I have an X4 incoming. I was bothered by the dimensions until I realized that it's smaller than a DL4. And honestly that's what I've always been looking for - a better version of the Line 6. I had an M9 and a Timeline but they were overkill/over complicated for what I need.

The only real issue I have with the X4 other than the size is that in Looper mode is that the record button doesn't double as an overdub. Meaning that unlike the DL4 or Headrush you can't tap record to start a loop and then tap record to end that loop, start playback and immediately be overdubbing. You have to hit record, then hit play and then hit record again.

If you hit record to start a loop and hit it again it saves the loop but doesn't start playback. More than a little funky.
