Qualified Schroeder cab repairman in NYC?

Hey I'm curious if anyone could recommend a good technician who would be qualified to troubleshoot an issue I'm having with a recently acquired Schroeder 1212BMF. I've been in touch with Jorg and I can ship it to him as a last resort. But it could be a lot more cost effective if I could find someone local to take a look.

Basically it's vibrating when I hit the E string or the A string, with the bass boosted on my LMII. I've tried taking off the grill completely, loosening the t-nut screws, and inspecting the cones. I took the side handle off and looked inside to see if any wires were touching the speakers and they are not. It seems to subside slightly if I push on the wood between the two speakers, right next to the circular port.

I don't have the time to keep troubleshooting so I'm ready for someone more qualified than I am to figure out what the problem is.

I suggest another email to Jorg asking him if he knows of any techs available.

Seems to me that some amp tech would also have experience with cabs.

Sounds like you found the culprit. If that piece of wood came loose via shipping or whatever then it needs to be fastened back into place.

Have you considered taking it to the guys at Epifani? They're in Brooklyn I think and I imagine they know a thing or two about speaker cabs.

Just an update on my Schroeder 1212BMF situation - any thoughts welcome!

I spent $100 to have it repaired by a great tech nearby (Jeff Bloch - [Invalid or Expired Link Removed]), and the noise remains. He tested the speakers, remounted them, and tied up all the wires. He claims to have reduced the vibrations by 99%.

The thing is, the speakers still sound like they're flapping when I crank up the bass on my LMII all the way. Can they just not handle it? I would have thought since the cab is rated 800W and the amp is only 500W, no amount of EQing would break the speakers up. It sounds like they're just trying to do too much. The grill seems to be vibrating too.

Maybe this cab is just too small for my needs. I thought it could replace my ampeg 410HLF but it obviously can't. Unfortunately I already sold the ampeg! I'm not sure what to do now - I will be taking it back into Jeff so he can listen, but don't have much hope he can resolve it.
