Hello fellow men and ladies in charge of the "low end."
2 weeks ago I purchased a Boss ME 50B special effects processor from MF. After using it for a max of 10 hours, it has started to make a buzzing sound, similar to a fried speaker. I tested the entire system (ie. bass (Jazz and '51 MIJ Precision), patch cords, and used 2 different amps (Genz Benz, & 2005 Henriksen w/10" spkr). Result: Still the buzz. Even tested it using my Sennheiser Headphones, still buzzing. In addition, I patched my basses straight to the amps and into the ME w/o adding any effects and received no buzz or hum.
Also looking for opinions whether or not that purchasing effects processors is or is not a sound choice visa-vi using separate stomp boxes to attempt to get some of the tones/effects that an ME or other processors offer.
