I'll second the GHS Pressurewounds. I had Chromes on my Longhorn for a while. While I love those strings on my Precision, they took away some of the Longhorn's trebly / honky character. Similarly, roundwounds accentuated it too much and didn't have enough bottom.
The Pressurewounds have the trebly bite but aren't overly zingy. They feel great, too. And they're made in short scale length with a .95 E string so it can fit the bridge without drilling.
