Question about Bass + Amp combination

Hey.

In this thread I would just like to ask about a Bass and a Bass Amplifier that I probably will buy in the future and if the combination between these can last for a couple of years, including small gigs and practice with the band.

Bass: ESP LTD F-105 BK
Strings: 5 Stringed
Scale: 35''
Link: Invalid Link Removed
- Playing a lot of Metal, examples are Amon Amarth, wich requires B-tuning.
Playing style: Finger

Bass Amplifier: Peavey Tour TNT 115
600 Watt
Link: Invalid Link Removed

I am not really professional when it comes to basses and bass amplifiers, but I am currently in the "study-phase" at the moment where I try to learn how everything works. That's why I ask you guys here on the forum!

I can't afford buying the cheapest, since eventually I will have to replace it once again, so why not buy something that can hold for some years?

The Bass and the Amplifier should be good enough to be able to play when practising with the band and playing at small gigs.

So, what do you think? Are these 2 good choices that will satisfy me needs?

I appreciate all help I can get!

Best bass for metal?

As far as the amp, IME, metal bands are LOUD so the 1x15 is not going to really move enough air.

Maybe an Ampeg 8x10 with a 200 or 300 watt tube amp. Or a couple of 4x12 or 6x10 cabs might move enough air.

If your handy and can build your own, a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] should do the job along with a 1000w SS amp.

Whatever amp/cab/combo you get, I suggest you add a [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] to protect the low end of the speakers.
