Question about Darkglass preamp pedal

What would be the preamp pedal that has the same characteristics of the wonderful Vintage Microtubes pedal?? Is is the Vintage Ultra ??? Or the Vintage Deluxe ??? I am confused.
Our Band is recording more now when we rehearse and I want to only use a preamp pedal, but truly want to keep the VMT tubey tone and the awesome overdrive that is in it!!!

Let me know you Darkglass gurus!!!

These are both a bit different than the VMT as they lack the VMT's 'Era' knob and add other features like the 'attack' and 'grunt' switches, which control the tonal nature of the OD sort of like the VMT's Era knob does.
If I were to choose I'd go with the Ultra (disclosure: I own one) for the simple fact that it has a headphone output - always fun for silent practicing.

The Vintage Deluxe and Vintage Ultra are progressively more tweakable versions of the VMT. They both have a DI out, so it's really down to the added features of the VMU. With that you get the added master volume, ability to select the center frequency of your lo mid and hi mid controls, and the ability to bypass the gain but keep the EQ with a footswitch. Oh yeah, and the headphone out...
