So if I got permission to post something can it then be posted or do the rules bar such postings even with written permission from the author?

Question for Admin: Posting Copy written articles

This is a huge gray area in the rules, and I'm not sure what the correct answer is. If it's already online and you want to link to it it's fine as far as I know, but if it isn't then it's a legal question that is over my head.
Well I'd like to post the text. I have permission and the people who authorized it gave me a few protocols to follow. Links are fine but lots of people like to comment without bothering to go to the links.
There is such a thing as fair use on material under copyright. There's no fixed rule, but generally, if you are only posting a portion of a piece under copyright, and are doing so for purposes of education, research, or review, then it's generally OK.
Well no it's not OK, the mod staff has seemingly decided to disallow ALL copy written postings without express permission. I now have the express permission and only want to check if even expressly permitted articles are disallowed. I understand being on the safe side I just need a yes or no.
Extremely sorry to do this. Can you just tell me how I post my own stuff. Big apology for busting in here. Beers are on me ok? I just cannot see a posting icon its driving me nuts!
