Question

You know the one about the guy who has an operation on his hands, and asks the doctor if he will be able to play the piano afterwards. The doctor says yes, he'll be able to play and the guy says "That's great, only I couldn't play at all before". You need to know that you'll be able to plug in and play immediately ONLY if you could play before it arrived.

this is the dumbest question I've ever heard
close, but not the dumbest.

the OP may be talking about can he open the box as soon as he gets it and just plug it in and jam, or would there be any work before it was playable to let the bass warm up to temperature/dry off if the delivery was in the pouring rain and the outer box was soaked..etc?.

ALL I can say is: OP, if you bought a bass that you CANT take it out and just plug it in regardless of the shipping conditions, your a bigger FOOL than the question you worded so terribly as the first post because I honestly think you meant something else than the sentence you worded so poorly.

however, if your question is genuine, then you need to get off the Forum NOW and go back to learning about things !!!! ;)
