as I don't know what sound I am looking for or which effects I'll be using - although I definately like Muse's sound - I would like to try them all out. And what better way than using a Multi FX for that purpose?
Once I have found my 'sound' I could eventually buy the single effects which are obviously better.
As of now I'm looking at three of them:
-Zoom B2.1u (cheap)
-Boss GT-6B (or 8B if it's out?)
-Line 6 Bass Pod XT Live
The M50-B is not included because I read the sound stops for a second when you switch effects, which sounds like a major turnoff? I also read the effects can't be combined, something which I would at least want to try.
I don't know whether the other units (especially the Zoom?) share these problems though.
I want to be able to practice with a headphone, if it has a drum computer included it would be cool. Also I'd like to record stuff on my pc with it and use it for practicing with my band and the few live performances we have.
Of course I am wondering if the price gap between the Zoom and the other units is really fair. I can afford the more expensive units, but if the Zoom can handle most of it reasonably well it sounds like a waste of money (better spent on single effects later on).
I am also eager to know if the expression pedal is a must-have, as the Zoom B2 (without pedal) is a lot cheaper.
