Quick Connect setup for non-EMG pups???

Ok, so I'll be the first one to admit, I rarely stick to the original electronics in a bass for the sake of trying lots of different options, and up until this point it's served me well. My question is, instead of taking it to someone everytime I get a craving for a different sound, can I get someone to setup a non-EMG bass w/ the quick connect cables and send them a batch of pickups to mod w/ the other end that goes into them?
I know Sadowsky offers it for a PJ system, I'm just not sure if he's using the same connectors. Also, the cables that are for sale don't include the other 3 pin end that normally go under the EMG 'pup, where could I get that and who could possible do the work for me?

I use quick connect cables on my pickups, but it would be tricky to retrofit them to some other pickups. You need some way to hold the connector to the pickup.

An easier solution would be to use some screw terminals in the bass to attach the pickup leads to without having to solder. You would just have to snake the pickup wires into the control cavity.

Sweet! That looks clever. Would that give me as good a connection as the quick-connects? Would most guitar repair guys know how to do that, or could you recommend a good shop that could do that?
