Quick iPod question.....

Hey y'all

Basically the story is I'm looking at getting an Ipod (30Gb) and I would rathere have it know.But if I wait about a month or so my mom is going to NY and she could probably pick me up one cheaper.I can get one her for about 320 Euros which is about 390 dollars.Can I ask you guys how much one would be typiccaly in New York City?

In NY - the monochrome ones (either 20/40 gig) go around 200ish if places still have them in stock; the color ones are $300 for a 20 gig...I don't think Apple really has supported the 30 gig ones since the 3rd Gen...

The new 5th generation are 30 gigs.Sounds like I'd save alot of money if I waited.Oh I forgot to mention that those 30gig ones are video capable.......

Looked at 'em today.

The new ones(in black or white)-
30GB is $299
60GB is $399

I noticed these prices are fairly consistent whether at Apple's site/stores, Best Buy, or the Navy Exchange at the Base.

Best Buy is selling off the 'old' 30GB for $249 & the 'old' 60GB for $349.

So by waiting I'll save roughly 80 Euros.....Ah well I guess it's a month without portable music ahead....

Wait a second.....Amazon.com have them for 299 aswell so it's the same if I buy from them.
