Quick Ohm Question.

Hey guys, I have a Carvin PB300. 300 Watts, 2 ohm minimum. Currently running into an 8ohm 1x15 cab. If I also add a 40hm 4x10, How many ohms would that come to? And about how much wattage would be running then? Thanks in advance!!

2.66 ohms.... Works fine with my BX500... Should be the max wattage from your amp.

An 8 om 15 with a 4 ohm 410 is the ONLY way that pairing makes any sense. And, +1, 2.6 ohms and at or near full wattage.

2.667 or 12 Ohms, depending on whether they are parallel or series.

Power is drawn from the power amp, not supplied. The maximum power rating for the power amp is the most you can draw from it safely. Be sure the impedance does not increase the current beyond that rating.

4 or 16 Ohms.

Parallel is ZTotal​= 1/([1/Z1​]+[1/Z2​]+...[1/Zn​])
Series is ZTotal​= Z1​+Z2​+...Zn​

I would be running parallel. I've always been warned against running a solid state at full wattage. I won't be playing any place huge, just some local bars in a blues/fusion type gig. I am just not sure if the 8ohm 1x15 is enough. I tend to over worry lol.

If you are only going to run one, run the 4X10.
