Quick Question: Neck Pockets Clarification - Fender.

Sorry to repost this here in the basses section, as I have already posted a similar question here:, but I'm trying to close a deal today and I need some help on this before I seal the deal (and the guy is waiting for my answer...)

Basically I would like to put a '73 precision neck (USA) on a 2004 Precision Body (MIM) - Will it work? Do the bolt holes line up? How is the gap?

I'm sure someone here has tried this

I tried the search, and to my surpise, I couldn't quite find the details I need.

I've never heard of any problems swapping Fender bass necks, should be fine.
