Quiet MusicMan Stingray?

Hey guys,

I have a 2 year old Stingray which seems to have lost maybe 50% of its volume recently.

I have done all the basics; checked for loose connections, changed the battery and so on but its not made a difference. All the controls work fine and the bass is pretty much in mint condition. I am going to take it to a good tech for a setup but anyone experienced anything similar?

Positive, im lucky enough to live in a very musical household (25+ guitars and basses plus amps and stuff) and have tried it with a bunch of combinations of cables, wireless and amps to see whether the issue was the bass or not

Check to be sure the battery holder is functioning correctly. My 97 MM5 had a situation where the battery holder was not making connection correctly and caused an audio problem. I can't remember the exact malfunction but it's worth a check. Also do recheck cables and connectors. I have found bad cables I 'knew' were okay to be the problem.:hmm:
