Hi Folks,

I bought this body a few months back. Really light weight Swamp Ash body, with a Quilt maple top, and a pretty burst finish. Total weight of the bass after the build was 8.2 lbs! with a Warmoth neck. (see pic below)

Sounds really good and looks decent. The body has wear on it, with various dings and dents, but the finish and color hide it surprisingly well. Here is a link to the original ad:

The jazz body is still a looker despite the wear. It is standard Fender size, and will fit standard Fender, Warmoth, USACG, etc. necks. Pocket is nice and tight, no gaps.:) I just picked up two other basses over the Christmas holiday, so I need to sell off some stuff.

The bass body will come with the black football jack plate, the control cover plate and screws, the clear pickguard, and the Schaller Roller bridge. Just ad a neck, and your choice of pickups/preamp, and you're ready to roll. ( I may put the Warmoth neck up for sale that is on this bass, I haven't decided)

priced at 170.00 shipped. Shouldn't be too much to ship...I mean, the body weighs about 4 lbs. and change, ya know?:D

If you want the bass with the Glockenklang preamp and knobs already loaded (you just ad a neck and some pickups) price will be 325.00 shipped

I snapped a few shots with the bass built up, and then I used some pics from the previous owner to give you an idea of what you're purchasing.

I've been looking carefully at pic #s 5 and 6 and I think with relative certainty- it is a Swamp Ash body with the Big Leaf Maple top... This may be a deciding factor for some... Some folks love that Swamp Ash (doesn't matter that I'm an Alder Guy)... I noticed the original thread as alder. I've seen people carry info before...

My Sadowsky looked a lot like this bass body. I think this is a sleeper deal!!

I do believe you may be right Joel. The grain on the back does indeed suggest Swamp Ash.

Good Swamp Ash has a tendency to be light and resonant, which this body certainly is.

I did list it as alder, as it was sold to me that way, but I think I will change the original posting, as my gut tells me this is an Ash body.

Thanks!

The neck pocket but- more importantly, the cathedral arches in the grain on the bass side of the back... Good Stuff!!

Alright, I have been asked several times....If someone wants the body with the Glockenklang preamp loaded into it with the knobs, I will sell the whole shebang for 325.00 shipped.

All you have to do is ad a neck and pickups and you are good to go! I have all wiring diagrams fro the Glock pre.

For those not familiar with Glockenklang, they are a wonderful transparent preamp that gives zero color to your sound. Really brings out the true tone of your bass!

Do your homework.... Best price on Glocks are 160.00 and they don't come with knobs (have to be bought separately)....I am selling this one for 155.00 complete
