Quintessential Stingray Color?

My first one was one of the worst...that brown/walnut transparent laquer that chipped off if you sneezed the wrong way while playing it.

But my current one...black! It's SOOOOO cool! Classic EB color.

Pre EB- probably the sunburst with the black pickguard and the white pickup and a maple board.

When I think of a Stingray, I always think of Tony Levin peach.

And my trans blue burst fiver. But that doesn't exactly count.

Black/black or natural/tort.

The coolest color, though (just because it's so rude) is the one on Tony Levin's Barbie 5.

It was intended to be salmon, but somebody made the observation that it's exactly the color of Barbie flesh. Pink.

The name stuck, and the color got discontinued.

I saw TL in Kingston in October, and the darned thing really is pink.

What's cool about it is under stage lighting, it NEVER looks pink.
