Hello, I just picked up a couple new cabs from Geoff at Raezer’s Edge and wanted to share the experience and a couple of videos I made of the cabs.
I was helping my brother (a guitarist) pick a new guitar cab when I stumbled on RE new line of bass cabs, the Bass Lite series. I’m a working jazz bassist in NJ/NYC and I see RE cabs used by guitarists all the time but had never heard of or tried his bass cabs. I contacted Geoff and he sent me a 10-ER to try. It’s a 10 [Invalid or Expired Link Removed] with a high powered tweeter(eminence apt 80). I used this cab on a bunch of upright bass gigs and was extremely happy with it.
I asked Geoff if he could make me a smaller version. He did, eliminating the tweeter. It’s an awesome cab, I’m using it for everything, super loud and clear and very light and small also. For larger venues I put the two cabs together for a great 210 stack.
There is very little presence of Raezer’s Edge on TB, it’s s shame because these are awesome boutique cabs and very reasonably priced. I am extremely happy with these cabs and it has been great working with Geoff, I’d love to see RE get more exposure on TB. Please take a moment to check out the demo videos I made of the cabs.
