Rare sight: Lemmy Rick-less

I think this is the only video I've ever seen of Lemmy playing anything but a Rick.

He played a Thunderbird quite a bit, sometimes recording whole albums on it.
When he started using the older RIC, he put those Thunderbird pickups in it.

That's a Minarik. A local guitarist has a couple of their guitars, including one with that same body style.

I believe they made that for him unsolicited, figuring it would help them get into the bass market. It may even have been their first bass, although my memory is fuzzy.
