Double Bass Rattling shadow pickup

I guess the title says it all - any advice on how to deal with it? Seeing as the same bass is used for jazz and orchestral playing, unwanted noise is kind of an issue.

Shadow SH965 Nanoflex, methinks - the one with preamp.

You can try to tie the minplugs that go into preamp with some tape or rubberband. Make sure that the cables aren`t touching the afterlenghts and you can experiment with attaching the preamp on different spots on the afterlenghts, cranck the screw reasonably tight. Check out the instrument cable too, that it ain`t touching the tailpiece or rattling itself. These have worked for me.

The PCB inside the battery adapter can rattle. Open the battery adapter and put some foam (rubber foam works well if cut to a useable thickness) above and below the PCB close to the corners and remount the adapter. Make sure, that the adapter doesn't touch the tailpiece. I mounf the adapte to the highest two strings 40 to 45 degree turned, so that the amp cable gets away from after lengths and tailpiece and letting the lower strings the full afterlengths and the highest string the shortest.

Cables can rattle too if they touch anything on the bass.

Tighten the caps from the small TS-plugs coming from the foils.
