Ray34 - 2013 vs 2022?

I just got a 2022 Ray 34 on Friday and was very impressed with the roasted maple neck. Also, when I do get a new axe, I check setup, neck relief, etc. and it was balls on. The only beef I do have is with the tuners, but those are getting changed out this week. Found a set of the actual Schaller BMs that EBMM used and should be a direct fit with no drilling whatsoever. Here is mine along with my two Fenders:

I just picked up a ray34 in the ice metallic blue at a local shop for $550 used. I think they knew the truss rod was stiff when they priced it that low. I made the guy move the truss rod before I bought it, and he was doing his best to make it look like it wasn’t frozen solid! When I got home, I found that cleaning the neck pocket out of manufacturing dust and chips and tightening the screw on the nut for the truss rod to help gain some movement in the neck. I feel like I have the neck pretty flat with room to move the truss rod further and I’m overall happy with the purchase. The tuners feel just fine and I have no reservations besides the neck potentially maxing out in the future. All that being said, I would choose the older one for the better price for sure.
