After Francis “Rocco” Prestia’s death today, I decided to finally learn “Oakland Stroke.” I slowed down the original, and I got the intro, but I knew I was missing notes. I then looked for a play along video, and found the one I have posted. I then realized I could just read the transcription. (Duh!
) At least I have the intro and main riff not for note for note. I have preparation for tomorrow’s bass lesson and paper grading to do, so I will learn the rest later. I am just glad that my reading competent enough to help me learn this on my own through reading.
