Ready To Buy......Help

I've been doing a lot of research and have tried several amps at the local music stores. The decision comes down to the following two amps, albeit it good or bad, price has a lot to do with it.

1. Ampeg BA210SP

2. Fender 250 / 115

Both used and at a great deal under 400.00.

I'm a newbie so I can't tell a lot of difference though my preference is the Ampeg. Any help would be appreciated.

all things being equal let your ears be the judge dude. having just bought an amp myself, it's worth every second you spend testing out amps and finding your sound. the fender has wheels and can power an extension cab, something to consider if you see yourself adding on later...

either one of those would be an excellent choice, just go with your gut and pick the one that sings to you.

play them next to each other threw the same cab turn around and have someone else plug the bass in. pick the one that sounds the best
