Real-time MIDI transcription?

Hey guys,

With the hardware and software listed below, is there any way I can play my bass and guitar so that it will convert to MIDI as I play?

Band in a box has Audio Chord Wizard to figure out chords from a previous recorded track.

Grab the second tier or higher version of Melodyne, record a part, convert to MIDI. That'll be the highest quality way to do it, but it won't be free or even cheap depending on your budget.

Yeah, I know...and I love that feature. It works great with chords, and can convert individual notes into chords, but I'm looking for real-time note-for-note transcription as I play.

There are probably other programs that do it as well, but Melodyne is what I use, and with the upper tier versions being truly polyphonic, you'd be able to turn chords into MIDI rather than only individual notes.
