Realizations while on stage

This past Saturday night, playing another wedding. Good meal, but in the end its the clients' big day. I'm playing, and the crowd is just progressively becoming more intoxicated, and having a blast. Some beautiful women too. Then this one comes out to dance to a slow song, and I'm like dang, she's awesome, right there. She's pretty into her spouse/boyfriend. 'Lucky guy' I think to myself. Its this intoxicated love, and I'm up there completely sober. Then I look around and its all couples, kind of having the time of their lives together to our sounds. I feel powerful, yet I'm thinking the wife's at home. I think about all the times I was on that side with her. I'm onstage with the band but inside I'm alone. You had better love music, because some times music is your love.
