Recommend a cab for GB shuttle 6.2?

This is a good point, for sure. All the studio stuff I've done has been direct to board as well. I've gone straight in with a variety of different setups, various DI's (Sansamp BDDI, Tone Hammer, B7k) and through my Shuttle, and it's worked out great every time.

I normally record direct but I would like a great sounding cab to mic as an alternative option. Sometimes going DI works best, sometimes miking the cab gets me a better tone.

Do you have a good mic? I've seen "a good bass mic" sometimes as hotly debated as the "right" amp/cab!

I'm using an AKG 414 BULS mostly. Not the most common choice for bass cabs but I like the results I'm getting with it usually.

M9=most massive bottom of any head I have heard fuh sho!
