That's the one I'm referring to, the FX75 I believe

It's awesome, very thick while still warm-sounding (it can do metallic flanging as well if you like that sound) and can be found easily on ebay.

Are sure you don't mean the FX72 Bass Stereo Flanger? The FX75 series pedals are just regular Stereo Flangers.

I just won a FX72 on ebay, can't wait to try it out

The EBS Unichorus is great in the flanger mode. It's small sized and operates on 9V.

I had an ADA flanger that was a stomp box. Don't know if they made a rackmount version or not. That aside, it's a good recommendation, but good luck finding one.

The Boss one worked just fine,had a bass input on it too...or EBS has chorus,flange and pitch mod in 1 pedal

Woops! You are correct. I have too many toys to remember model numbers anymore

so in what way is this optimized for bass? is the freq center lower, or perhaps higher? Is it simply toned-down like the bass input to the Boss BF-3?

I have only tried the BF-2 along with the DOD. The DOD is thicker and less digital sounding (in my opinion)

It works well on all strings, down to a low B and doesn't get muddy so I'd take a guess that the frequency is optimized. It just adds a "fatness" that I preferred over the Boss.

I have to add though, a lot of guitar modulation effects will work fine on bass...my Choralflange sound amazing, just a little "leaner", not as thick as the DOD.

Maybe we're not on the same page... are you referring to the old BF-2's (early 80's) or the bass BF-2 the Japanese model I believe?

The BF-3 is their first digital stompbox flanger. The BF-2B is a bass version of the analog BF-2 that actually sounds LESS dramatic on bass than the regular BF-2

Link RemovedI did about two years ago of the FX72. WARNING: SHAMELESS TOOL CONTENT FOR A LOT OF THIS CLIP

The settings aren't too extreme here, but definitely some good flange going on. I think it keeps great low-end (although a lot of this clip is up on the D and G strings).
