Recommend me a mini-sized noise gate

My board is pretty much full but I have space for another mini-sized pedal. I'd like a noise gate to clean up my dirt section for chugging. Had a look at a few options online and the main contenders appear to be ISP Technologies Deci-mate, Donner Noise Killer (and other generic brand clones), and Pigtronix Gatekeeper. Any advice or overlooked options would be much appreciated.

I got an Azor Noise pedal that does the duty cheaply, used to cut hum when using single coils.

Donner noise killer, latching footswitch! Set it and forget it! I got one vecro’d to the bottom of my pedalboard and it’s been flawless! I actually have a bunch of them. They’re great for lowering the noise floor when using dirt, great after a pedal with a noisy tap tempo, or just to be completely silent when not playing. Also works like a charm in the effects loop of a noisy old amp so it’s a great recording tool as well. You really can’t beat it for the price.

I have a pigtronix gatekeeper, I only use it when I'm using a bit crusher pedal or the heaviest fuzz that I have for synthy type sounds, but it works great, the adjustable release speed works well for if you want a full on gated sound or to just tidy up a naturally noisy pedal.

Those look awesome, I may be picking one up for my big pedalboard soon! Have you tried any of their other pedals?

I haven’t other than the DI/Cab Sim they used to make, which is also awesome and super handy. Can’t beat a mini sized DI that I can stick pretty much anywhere

I’ve got a Rowin Noise Gate pedal. Very cheap, little bit of a tone sucker, but works. I keep it my gig bag for emergency noise situations at a gig. It is nothing but an emergency band aid for me. If I’m getting noise from a pedal, I’m going to move it. Don’t want noise. But, I don’t play a lot of high gain drive pedals either.

Used to play in a band and both guitar players had high gain noise constantly. All the time. It drove me batty. I’m like, do they not here that?

I ended up getting a Donner Noise Killer. I got 20% off on eBay so it was only $48 AUD - pocket change really. If it doesn't work out I might try the ZUUL Mini - that key input looks super useful.

I use both the Rocktron micro hush and the ISP deci-mate on my board, both work great; although I feel like I can hear the ISP "working" a little more.

I've had the zuul and most of the decorator/decimate pedals. The zull had a much smoother gate closure than the decimate, but even with 2 different Strymon power supplies, and a seperate boss supply, it emitted a high pitched squealing noise when paired with certain pedals. Fortin was pretty rude about it and said it was my fault. I ended up selling it off.

I've since moved back to the decimate and it's excellent. Only issues I've had with it is when powering with a one spot. Sometimes when it powers up it buzzes. Unplugging and plugging resolves it.

When powering with my Cioks it's perfect every time.

Darkglass NSG. It's a little bigger than mini, but still pretty small. I love mine and no tone suck. I also have a TC Sentry on a guitar board to compare it to and I think the NSG is better in some ways, even with just one knob.

I know very little about noise gates in general, let alone this one in particular. Just putting it out there as an option.
