I have an Omni and I like it...
Assuming you get one with frets,..

There are Omni's with frets ?

You made me question whether I remembered correctly or not so I double-checked. It looks like you have to order the more expensive CR series but it looks like frets are an option. If you're coming from fretted BG, I'd expect playing a fretless would be your biggest challenge, but if you're playing fretless BG now, it'd be a bit different, but not huge I don't think.
