Double Bass Recommendation please.

EUB are almost all a bit different to hold than an acoustic upright. A lot of them (mostly the solid bodys) bow less good than an acoustic upright.
So if you want to get back to the acoustic upright, specially if you want to get back to bowing, better get an acoustic upright.
Useable instruments are cheaper on the upright side, the cheap EUB almost all need some changes and are still not as good as a cheap plywood upright. The setup for a cheap EUB can get as expensive as the EUB itself and it is still a cheaply designed instrument.
If you want a better EUB buy it used and still pay more than for a reasonable plywood upright.
The Eminence is one of the better EUBs, but for that money you might get something better than a medium cheap plywood upright. But if you need to travel and seldom need a bow, a removable neck a EUB might be the better choice.
