I discovered the USB-C port in my four-year-old Dell PC does "not support streaming." Grrrr. So I'm using the Bluetooth connection with my ORAs. It's working fine.

I discovered the USB-C port in my four-year-old Dell PC does "not support streaming." Grrrr. So I'm using the Bluetooth connection with my ORAs. It's working fine.
I'd like to thank @silky smoove for pointing out at small Kalis. yesterday I got ones for the desk where the sub or bigger monitors was too much.
they don't have very deep lows (not surprising, provided it's only a pair of 4.5" speakers), but are pretty usable and easy to set-up. they have good details in high end and provide a good overall idea of how your mix sounds (well, except of really deep lows, but again, it's pretty surprising, how much low end those tiny things can reproduce). to me, the overall sound profile is more monitor-like than hifiish (one can argue they're a bit harsh for hifi speakers, but probably not as much as Adams). they provide a really nice overview of the panorama and can fill the room nicely if you want it to play loud (and well, they're not as loud, but pretty usable for what they are).
I'm usually in the 'speakers break-in is a myth' camp, but since I plugged them in the first time, I'm pretty sure, they got a bit more bassy.

I bought those small Kali’s and as monitors, they do exactly what they were built for. If I want volume in abundance, I switched over to a different pair of speakers.
I added the Kanto 8-inch sealed subwoofer to my Kanto ORA desktop monitors. Makes all the difference. The Kantos are rated to 100 Hz. With the sub, I have it volume at about 9:00 so it's very subtle. At 300 watts, when it's turned much higher it can overwhelm the small room. But when I turn it off, I miss the extra low-end support. Perhaps I'm more sensitive to that range as a bass player, but adding the sub makes listening pristine clear and sublime across the full range of frequencies. Very happy with that addition!

I just switched my small desk for a larger surface in different room. The old layout was in a cramped corner with a wall two feet behind my chair. The new room has much more space behind me; the Kanto ORAs are about 15 inches further from my ears. The larger surface also has room to position the Kanto ORAs in vertical mode. Overall, the sound is a magnitude better. I'm surprised at how much of an improvement this is. Super satisfied with these monitors!!
