i'm looking for any computer or hardware based means, to teach bass:
eg convenient ways to play along with track from youtube, while hearing my bass and track in phones
a mixer obvious choice. but something. very small
eg i get a.bass line idea , and want to quickly record it before i forget it.
quickness
smallness
convenience
able to store large number of ideas i guess in low quality audio ( haven't thought this thru )
but NOT recording quality.
____
eg. way to record at the lesson site -
again, very small. light. convenient quickly to have set up at eg a students home.
Having drum loops available for student where we both hear 1. the student 2. the loop 3 and maybe even hear my music instrument.
i'm endeavoring to become a better teacher. and tech is a part of this aka new school approaches
the "old ways" are learn with ear - with memory and do diligence. not likely to be popular today !
but the modern way of quick recording on the fly. is a definite aid
many ideas are coming to me and ability to quickly, easily record on the fly is important for me as both a player and newbie teacher.
