Red Dot = New post but not in Classifieds?

Is there any way to track new posts in the individual classified sections other than looking at the time stamp and remembering the last time that you visited?

I would love to see just new posts sans classifieds. I appreciate the classifieds but If I am not on the hunt, they sure fill up the new post list rapidly
